Back to work

I have cleared my head after a few losing sessions and my bankroll on Full Tilt is at $350, my goal was to start with $500 and climb the ranks....this has not gone well so far and my posting has been infrequent and this is a problem....starting tomorrow I am going to be posting/playing alot more. I am going to move up the ladder.

worst session ever. in a long time

Well this session was short and started off badly and only got worse I feel I started to tilt a bit and now I need to stop and re think my game for awhile....i had recently cashed out part of my bankroll for some expenses and dropped down to 25NL from 100NL when I switched to full tilt poker....I have been a winning player for some time but the last month I cant seem to put any kind of winning streak together. Right now my bankroll is just over $400 and I need to get back onto my winning track...I have my expenses paid for the rest of summer until I go back to school in the fall so I wont be cashing out and I need to start making my way back up the ranks of the poker world because right now I feel like I am just another fish at the bottom of the tank. Here are a few hands from todays god awful session.

Hand 1
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1269743

This hand occurred when I was already down a few buy ins and I played it way too aggressively and then by the time the board paired I felt committed to the pot, although I was pretty sure he did not have a boat it is still a terribly played hand.

Hand 2

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1269764

This hand I felt I played fairly well but got unlucky

hand 3
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1269767

I should have just folded pre flop but then I got my nut flush draw and thought I would play it aggressively.

Hand 4
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1269772

Am i overplaying aces here? I felt he could easily have a ten in his hand but in hindsight the min raise is kind of suspicious and I should have probably folded on the river to his raise.

Hand 5
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1269776

Same villain, same raise, overplaying KK here or do I have to be willing to go broke here...I guess i need to learn my lesson about these min raises by this guy and just respect them but he was playing 85/35 over 50 hands and I could not bring myself to lay these overpairs down.

Any advice on ways to change my play or articles/books I should read are appreciated...I feel like this is the lowest point of my fairly successful poker career....I feel like I have enough bankroll left to salvage this and make my way back up but I need some guidance and some leaks definitely need to be plugged.

tough session

I played 1500 hands today and ended up being stuck about $55....here are a few hands from the session...I just couldn't see to get anything going and every c bet I made was getting raised or check raised.

Hand 1 - just a crappy river
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1252805

Hand 2- easy fold?

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1252807

Hand 3 - checked the turn hoping to control the pot...but i don't think he makes that bet with AK so I am pretty sure I am beat here

I played a short session this afternoon, only put in about 750 hands...ended up +$20
Here are a few hands...

Hand 1
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1242557
Villain had just sat down at the table....the min raise was kind of weak I was thinking I should have just pushed.

Hand 2
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1242560
Villain was 57/6.0 over only 10 hands so really had no read on him.

Quick Session

I played a short session early this evening I only played about 500 hands and ended up +$13

Hand 1
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1240470

I felt very confident that this player had a strong ace and therefore I think my river push is ok but interested in hearing comments because there was four cards to the straight out there and possibly a bigger set with aces. The player was 15.9/9.09 over 33 hands.

Hand 2

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1240487

Is a push here a good play or just a good size re-raise. I did not like the idea of calling because I did not want to see a spade or straight card on the turn.

Hand 3

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1240495

I think this is an easy fold...not sure why i ventured into the poker chat lying idea as I usually never chat at all.

Session 4

Kind of hungover from last night, a friend is getting married this weekend so we went out to the bar and had a few too many. I played 1000 hands this afternoon and ended up +$35. Here are a few hands.

Nothing to interesting today, these were the biggest pots that I played

Hand 1

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1239787

Hand 2

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1239793

Hand 3

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1239797

I thought the check here on the river was the right play, the villain was 55/.09/5 over 115 hands. Unsure if maybe I should have thrown out a value bet and then fold if raised

Session 3

I played 1100 hands, but I decided to cut back from 6 tables to 4 because I feel that I have been losing alot more often since I started playing more tables....maybe just making too many small mistakes that are costing me. I ended up being +$85 this session, which is the first winning session of the month for me and hopefully the first of many.

Hand 1

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1236735

I wasn't sure if just flat calling here was the best play or if I should just stick the rest in...his line of smooth calling every street then betting the river almost made me think there was a possibility of him showing me a boat.

Hand 2
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1236749

This is just a plain terrible hand...first off I don't think I should have called preflop and that would have saved me alot of trouble....the check on the river was weak I think and gave him an opportunity to bluff with a busted flush draw that I couldn't bring myself to call. He easily could have had any number of hands that have me completely dominated here.

Session 2

Played 2000 hands and ended up down $40....I feel like I am playing well but I must have some leaks somewhere that need to be fixed because I just am not winning lately. I need to watch a few videos and review alot more hands to try and get back into my winning ways. I feel like I am losing way too many small $5-$10 pots and not winning enough big pots and it is jut spewing my money away. I think I need help with C-betting and playing low-mid pocket pairs.

Hand 1

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1233856

I have read many place to never lay KK down pre flop at these stakes but lately it seems like everytime I get it in preflop with KK it is against AA. I think the old saying that the fourth raise means aces, needs to be incorporated into my game again.

Hand 2

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1233871

Everything worked out well here, but is this line the right one.

Hand 3

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1233880

I felt bad after this hand, I went against my instincts and it cost me
